Polyester is easy to cause static problem as it is made of synthetic material, and the same thing will happen even when it is blended with other materials such as cotton, viscose and so on.
There are two ways to prevent statics matter or reduce statics problems, one is to use anti-statics yarn and another is to perform anti-static treatment during the dyeing process by add ant-static dyeing stuff.
